Bioinformatician – Single-Cell Biology

Role Overview
Bough Biosciences is a dynamic new biotech start-up, we are looking for a Bioinformatician who is excited to join the team and contribute to innovative biology. Our goal is to develop a novel class of medicines which target senescent cells. We are actively seeking a skilled and motivated bioinformatician with expertise in single-cell RNA sequencing analyses to join our team. As one of our first employees, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our research and contribute to the success of our innovative projects.
Core Responsibilities
Perform quality control, preprocessing, and analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing data.
Develop and implement computational pipelines for single-cell data analysis.
Develop novel methods for cell type detection.
Collaborate with researchers and other team members to interpret and communicate results effectively.
Stay current with advancements in single-cell genomics and bioinformatics methodologies.
Required Qualifications
MS in Bioinformatics or related field, computational biology, or a related field.
Proven hands-on experience with analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing datasets.
Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., R, Python) and bioinformatics tools (e.g., Seurat, Scanpy).
Experience with cloud computing (e.g. AWS, GCP)
